Beaches
The coastline of Pilar de la Horadada stretches over 4 km and offers a variety of environments. You will find long beaches with white sand that contrasts intensely with the deep blue sea and many rocky coves that often hide small and quiet coves. Moreover, the transparency of the water invites you to go scuba diving or snorkelling to discover the variety of marine fauna.

    Pilar de la Horadada focuses on sport and its numerous disciplines: earth, sea and air. Of course, the sport of golf is not to be missed here.
    Lo Romero Golf is located in an excellent area, halfway between the sea and the mountains. This golf course will challenge your accuracy on hole 18, as it is located in the middle of a small island in a lake.

    More than 20 km of cycle path are at your disposal to enjoy the landscape. From Torrevieja to San Pedro del Pinatar, on two wheels and without exhaust fumes.
    New are 4 well-marked cycle routes in Pilar de la Horadada. They each connect the city centre and the beach or lead through the adjacent coastal region.

    Hiking
    The hinterland of Pilar de la Horadada offers very beautiful excursions and hiking routes in the Mediterranean hills or in the mountains of the Sierra de Escalona. Everything is in the immediate vicinity. Very remarkable is the hike through the dry valley es Rio Seco. It is a natural, ancient drainage channel, 19 km long and has two well-signposted hiking trails. One hiking trail is 4 km long, the second 10 km long. Each of these paths begins in the natural reserve of the "área natural" of Pinar de Campoverde and one of the paths ends in the dry river estuary on the beach of Mil Palmeras. The flora and fauna of this ecosystem are very impressive.
    The 3 km long route from Pilar to the sea is a route that connects the centre of Pilar de la Horadada and the sea. This very well developed route can be experienced on foot, by bicycle or inline skates.
