Our holiday home is located in the heart of Pilar de la Horadada, 60 kilometres from the Spanish provincial capital and the airport of the same name, Alicante, in the southern part of the Costa Blanca (Spanish for "white coast"). Pilar de la Horadada enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection from the cold north winds in winter by the surrounding mountains. The area offers more than 3,200 hours of sunshine per year, an average temperature of 20ºC, beautiful beaches and much more.
